There’s a few things that I want to do in my free time but never have the energy or amount of time needed to concentrate on it. The two things I have been trying to work on is learning French and working in an art journal. So why not combine them!
This post is about creating a journal cover that reflects what the journal is about.
Supplies Needed
- Journal
- Cardstock paper
- Scissors
- X-acto knife
- Ruler
- Glue stick
- Mod podge
- Brush
- Pencil
- Gel pens
- Markers
- Magazine photos or any photo
Step one cut cardstock paper the size of the journal

Step two cut out a photo to glue onto the journal

Step three add washi tape on edges for decoration.

Step four, write a journal title, mine is: mon journal français, then mod podge the cover to adhere the photos or magazine photos onto the cover.

Lastly, take glue stick and glue the first page to the cover. This will cover the back side of the cover.

And that’s how I made my journal cover. I kept it simple with only a few supplies.
