Intuition painting #3

Darkness of Anger is the title of tonight’s painting.

I am on edge. If you ever lived in a relationship of harrassment or abuse, then you will certainly understand.

Everyday there is something one of these people doing that infringes in my life. My home used to be an oasis. They destroyed it. I can’t walk my dog without constantly looking over my shoulder. They bang on doors. I will refuse to answer. They complain and want to take my personal time away. For some reason every complaint they make we must find a solution.

I used to have an evening of relaxation, watching tv, doing art, yoga. Now it’s filled with worries, constantly thinking and not feeling safe.

Has anyone lived in a community of HOA? I am on the HOA board and ever since they have been extremely rude, disrespectful and making issues as a crisis when it isn’t. I’m not sure if I want to be on this board anymore. I don’t think I can take living here anymore either.

I don’t see it ending until I quit, or I get really ill or they get bored.

So I’m fed up and ready to cry. Here’s tonight’s painting…

It’s nothing but anger depression and feeling defeated.

Night #2 of Intuitive Painting

My latest painting is about painting intuitively. But I am using this technique to help release my suppressed feelings as I go through harrassment and bullying from neighbors. I do not deserve to be bullied and have not deliberately done anything for neighbors to feel revengeful.

Last night I left the canvas looking like this, only painted the top of the canvas. I couldn’t paint the bottom, it was like my head could only see one part of the canvas. Look at the colors and the markings are forceful on the canvas.

Tonight this is where the painting ended:

So what’s the difference between the two days. Certainly, I painted on the entire canvas.

Yesterday was emotionally, physically and mentally exhausted. It was an unless day on top of an endless week. It’s difficult to live in a community where neighbors cause safety concerns because they don’t like someone or they feel they are entitled to what they want. I had much anger suppressed in my body throughout the last week. But really it’s been there longer. However the fear is causing more harm to me. This harrassment and bullying has been going on for the entire summer. Stop the bullying, stop the harrassment.

Today, it was a calm relaxing day. I was able to cross stitch, took a nap, cleaned my refrigerator and made a fresh batch of cold green tea for the week. I did yoga and meditation before I painted this evening, it was a 10 minute evening yoga.

Here’s some close up photos of tonight’s painting.

I’ll continue to post my intuitive painting. I will be focusing back into my art for the Etsy shop this week. I’m almost finished with another ear warmer.

Happy Day

Intuitive Painting

Today was a day of intense anger. I’m frustrated. It’s been an exhausting last few months. I feel like it will not end.

Here’s how I managed my emotions, with a 24″ x 30″ canvas, acrylic paints and my emotions.

I sat in front of the canvas and chose paint my emotion.

My emotion was anger, sad, feeling of being alone and the depression trauma and put someone in.

The plan is to paint on this canvas every night to release my emotions for about 15mins. And not be concerned about the end product. It’s like a journal entry but each time I go to this canvas I will paint over what was already painted. I will do this until a group of people stop the harrassment me and my friend and terrorizing me and my friend.

Stop the bullying, stop the abuse

Painting Rocks

This morning, I decided to paint rocks. This is something I like seeing other people do, but I never really had an interest until now. Why?

Well, long story but I needed to find something to get the negative energy out of my home and around my home. I have not felt safe because like some neighborhoods, there are people who are hateful.

I asked someone what can get rid of negative, she said the evil eye. Instead of buying something, I decided to paint these rocks I found.

Painted rock:

Need rocks, clean them, prime them and put a protective coat on it for outdoor ones, acrylic paint.

Outside looking in:

Evil eye: here’s what I found about it.

The evil eye brings bad luck to the person it is directed to for reasons of envy or dislike. It’s usually in blue and green colors for spiritual protection.

The Creative Formula

It has been awhile since I posted about The Creative Cure, by Jacob Nordby. (it’s been a long few weeks, no time to read) I have included chapter 7 and chapter 8 in this post.

Chapter 7 he writes about the creative formula. It was enlightening to read and brought me to a place of “Wow, this is just what I need.”

Here is a review:

Imagination +feelings/intuition +story=action/results

pick something you want to do, Here is my creative formula: “what would I love to create?”

being an artist who sells art:

imagination: going into the art studio. I can smell the turpentine, paint and hear the brushes on the canvas.

Feelings/intuition: excitement, overjoyed, “in my element”

story: If I make more time to be in the studio, then I can creative more art and can be creative daily.

Actions/results: Finished canvases, more to paint and enjoying the outcome of how my life can change.

Why do we need a creative formula? Because it helps with our dreams. It helps with a plan to make dreams be part of our life (steps to make it happen. And it can help us when we are stuck. it can provide a way to see how we might be sabotaging our dreams.

He explains with this formula, the progress and reality of the dreams happening the action, the resources and people to help and strategies will appear. All because you kept focus on the creative process.

He includes a personal discovery assessment in the book. He writes that writing in a journal daily along with meditation and relaxation and the personal discovery assessment can increase clarity to bring your dreams into reality.

Chapter 8 is a review and recap of the book. It reminds us of what we read about what if…?, socialization, the creative formula and living the life that is nature to you.

I will be taking time to do the personal discovery assessment on my own.

This book was insightful and I can see myself going through it again, taking time to do the exercises and continuing to write daily in a journal.

If you ever find yourself unsure of your creativity and intuition, read this book.

Happy Day

A Day of Rest

Today is my day off of work. I’m in need of a little rest. Unfortunately, the late afternoon I will need to go to the store. Have to look for sheds and a tree to plant.

Morning, I take my time getting up. Feed the cats and dog. Take the dog for a little walk. Have my hot tea with Goji berries in it (helps immune system and fights inflammation). Sometimes a few knitting stitches might get done. Sometimes I’ll lay down again.

Then off to my studio where I have my yoga mat. Usually a 15 minute yoga practice for the morning is my choice. Just enough to wake my body up.

After a walk with my dog, I’ll make a smoothie.

This morning a fruit smoothie sounded delicious.

When I buy fresh fruits, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and bananas, sometimes I’ll put them in the freezer to save before they spoil.

(bananas need to be cut in small slices, set on a cookie sheet and put in freezer for a few hours or overnight. Then transfer to a freezer bag.)

Fruit smoothie

  • 2/3 cup of frozen berries
  • 1 whole banana
  • 1 tablespoon flax seed
  • 1/2 cup or more pineapple juice

Put all in the blender. Pour in a glass. Enjoy.

Today is the start of me using a water bottle with times on it. It helps to remember to drink water throughout the day and ensures you get the amount you need.

I have Edema in my legs. The swelling and inflammation is causing it. The blood tests do not show it’s from other organs complicating anything. Unfortunately I hold onto water fluid especially in the summer. But it’s the entire year I have this. I wear compression socks in the fall and winter. But it’s too hot in the spring and summer to wear them. Part of the problem with Edema is water fluid is from actually not having enough water, so the body holds onto it. (Unless you have congested heart disease etc) please I’m not a doctor so follow what your doctor’s recommends.

Here’s my water bottle.

I spent some time in the studio this morning. All the 8″x8″ canvases has the first coat of paint on it.

It’s lunch time… I’m not very hungry. Lunch will consist of rice cakes-salt free, peanut butter, banana , and water

I ended up with a headache. Could be a sign of a storm coming.

I’m now on the sofa, going to take a nap. And do some knitting for the remainder of the day.

I took out frozen gluten free barbeque chicken I made a few weeks ago…that will be dinner with a salad.

Just never know when chronic illness and rheumatoid arthritis changes things on you.

Happy Day

More on The Creative Cure

“…ask yourself what you can do to get creative with your creativity.” Pg 131

Chapter 6 has some great thoughts about creating a space to be creative.

  • Space-what is your space like? friendly? Declutter needed? Music? Lighting? Color of room, books, artwork, plants, rugs etc
  • Time– time of day, “honor this time as scared and let those around you know that you won’t be available.”
  • Ritual-“…transform ordinary moments into focused, sacred time that builds meaning and honors the inner creative self.” Mark beginning and end of your creative time. (List of ideas are included on page 140)

He wrote about forming a creative group which would be a support for each other, allow time to be creative together, trade ideas, help each other and be accountable for the creative work.

On page 134, Jacob Nordby shares an exercise, that includes a few good questions.

  • What creative practice would bring more joy into your life? There’s a list on page 128-129 that is helpful to answer this question.

My answer: sewing and textile art, knitting and crochet, painting, growing a small business

  • What is the smallest habit that could bring me toward this practice?

My answer: Experiment with painting techniques, find new knitting stitches to learn, learn more about weaving and start gathering supplies to make a quilt and/or dolls.

This was my favorite topic to read in this book. Very helpful.

Two more chapters to read, more posts to come about this book.

Happy Day

That’s A Wrap, A Bubble Wra

A journal technique:

Supplies needed:

  • Journal
  • Acrylic paint
  • Brushes
  • Bubble Wrap
  • Water
  • Paper towels

Choose three colors of acrylic paint. Use a brush and paint onto the paper using a wash technique.

Then choose a paint color that will stand out. I chose black.

Take a paint brush and paint onto the bubble wrap.

Below close up of bubble wrap with paint on it.

Place the bubble wrap into the paper.

Push down with your fingers and rub it onto the paper. Press lightly.

Bubble wrap comes in small and large sizes.

Overlap the bubble wrap to make the design interesting and unique.
