Poinsettia tree- I took the plant a few years ago and replanted it in a larger pot. I heard it can be grown indoors. It needs to be in a dark place to get the red leaves, but around Christmas I get a few red leaves even near this window.

Those are my plants, they are in my living room, dinning room, and the bedrooms.
I love bringing nature into my home. It’s fun watching them grow and bloom.
If I move, I really would love to have a sunroom to put my plants in.
My diet consists of gluten free and dairy free and soy free. I have an autoimmune illness, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis.
On Monday, tuna, chicken BBQ and chicken burgers were prepared. Rice and roasted vegetables were also prepared.
An order from Whole Foods Market was made. They have the best gluten free and dairy free products, that I can not find anywhere else. Plus they deliver, so it’s easier to order there as my work schedule can be difficult to get to a grocery store.
I did not have a dessert every night. I finished the cinnamon muffins last night. The gluten free homemade biscuits were starting to loose it’s freshness so I had to toss those.
A spinach smoothie was made for Breakfast, along with eggs, avocado on toast and left over veggies were warmed up.
The refrigerator is now empty of this week’s meals.
This evening, I’ll make dinner. It will be a salad and a baked potato.
Tomorrow I work, so I have the chicken soup and tuna thawing. I will make those for dinner when I get home from a long day at work.
I’ll have to eat the grapes today for a snack. I also got out of the freezer the gluten free brownies I made the other day. And today I’m going to make blueberry muffins. Blueberry muffins will be my breakfast for tomorrow along with fruit. I’ll post the gluten free blueberry muffins.
This morning, the floors needed to be cleaned. I decided to get the floors finished before I get ready for work. Today I’ll be working from home. I love Friday’s for that reason.
There’s some areas of my house that needs dusting. I’ll try to do that in-between my sessions.
The candles in my family room and bathroom are turned on(I use hot plate warmer and plug in candle wax- I have cats!) Hoping the fragrance from the candles will energize my home and make it feel refreshing.

We had fresh snow last night. Maybe 2 inches of snow. It’s much warmer than it was the last three days. But there’s more cold and snow in the forecast next week.
On my walk early this morning, these photos were taken.
Preparing for Smoothies
On my counter there’s bananas that are becoming brown. I don’t care for them at that point, so I cut them up and put them in the freezer for future smoothies. Also can be used for banana bread. Great way to save money and be intentional about your diet.
This evening I’ll be knitting and resting. I work on Saturday, all day!
I usually serve this with my salad. I like to have the pineapple cut up in the salad, along with watermelon, cantaloup and cucumber, with a lemon basil dressing from Paul Neuman. There is a toping in the recipe book that is exceptionally good and tasty, but I don’t think I will be making that when I pull this out of the freezer.
This is one of my favorite recipes to make, because it is simple and easy to freeze.
I warmed up the left over rice and veggies from earlier this week. Then I warmed up the chicken burger. (Goal for meals, is to use what I have and what I made).
Gluten free bread crumbs- about 1/4 cup, start with less then add more
Sesame oil start with little then add more if needed
Dice the celery and green onions
put the tuna, bread crumbs, egg and sesame oil in the bowl with the celery and onions. mix together.
the patties will seem either really wet or too dry. If wet, add more bread crumbs, you can also add parmesan cheese, or nutritional yeast if you are dairy free. Once the patties are formed, place them in the refrigerator for at least 20 mins to an hour. Then take them out and cook in a skillet until golden.
Or you can cook them on a skillet loose, no in a burger form. Such as this:
I placed this in the freezer..it will be a good spread for a sandwich, with pasta or in a salad. And even a simple lunch with crackers. All you have to do is thaw it and warm it up.
Serve this with rice, quinoa, or gluten free spaghetti, with a side salad, green beans or other vegetables. Remember to put some fruit on your plate for some sweetness!
Today’s focus is the closet. I have been taking time sorting through my closets and reorganizing and decluttering. It’s been a slow process. Because let’s face it, I rather not do this.
I started with my dresser. I put my PJs in there. Also if it is winter, I store my summer tops, vice versa.
Some things are being donated from this pile.
Then I place all tops on my bed from the closet.
I sorted through those. Dividing it into sections,

It’s amazing how it looks. I washing some light weight clothes. I might be able to start incorporating those in my winter outfits soon.

if I need to buy something it has to fit in with: do I need it, can I use it more than once and is it neutral enough it can do with other items
I like color, minimalism is not about wearing white, cream, tans, neutrals and black. it is about simple life and if color in your clothes makes you happy and it adds to joy of life, then do it but have rules on how you buy color and fabrics. those rules can be do I need it, can I use it for more than once, is the fabric something I can use for more than one season.
Where do you live? I live in a state that has seasonal changes sometimes it can be 3 seasons in one day! Yes, a changing of clothes is not unusual. Shop for the seasons that seem to be longer, for me it is winter and summer. So my summer clothes are also something I can wear in part of the fall. My winter clothes, I can wear some in the beginning part of the spring. It’s adding color, jewelry and a lightweight cardigan to the outfit that can make it feel more like spring.

My suggestions for decluttering are:
Find a block of time to work on it
what is your vision for this area?
make a plan-are you going to reorganize or will you be decluttering and donating?
put items in sections/categories-lounge wear, work, date night, active wear, etc
make a dedicated area for donation pile and one for throwing away
Start noticing areas you have more than enough and areas that might need to be replaced
try a challenge of not shopping for new clothes for a year, see what you can do without and what you can be creative with
minimalism is not about having one of everything, it is about finding what your needs are, and staying with the vision of simple living.
4pawsartstudio, just has not been making art lately. I have been cross stitching, as my previous post gave you an update about Rue Paris. I will be knitting today in-between my client sessions. It will be snowing later, so I might just take another day to relax and tiddy up my downstairs. I am making barbeque chicken in the crock pot and later will make chicken patties for later in the week. I am working on tidying up my pantry and freezer. I have a goal to plan my meals and thought to wait until most items are eaten and I need to return to the grocery store. That is something to stay posted for in the future, is my menu planning. Art and painting will return, I am needing to get my house organized better with less clutter. (paper shredding is in serious need to be priority this week)!!!
