Knitting Update

Some days I prefer to knit instead of painting. This little piece will be a headband. It will be on Etsy once I am ready to post more products.

The piece below is slowly being stitched. It’s going to be an oversized scarf/shawl. This will not be sold. I need a new shawl for my office as it gets cold. I better get this stitched asap, in the Midwest it’s starting to show signs of Autumn.

Check out Etsy shop, I have knitted headbands/ ear warmers, and scarfs for sale.

Purl a Stitch, Knit a Stitch

I started this scarf about two months ago. This month, stitching this scarf will be my priority.

Why the delay? you ask. It’s only a purl, knit stitch sequence.

Yea, you are right. I got caught up watching YouTube videos about knitting a shawl. So the needles were dropped and out came the circular needles. I finished the shawl a few days ago, see post..

Back to this white and rustic orange scarf…

  • #6 straight knitting needles
  • Red heart yarn any color or colors
  • Tapestry needle-if you add another color

Start by casting on the amount of stitches for the width of your scarf. I cast on 32 stitches.

Now add one more stitch. 33 stitches total.

The start with knit stitch, then purl, knit then purl repeat.

When you turn your piece always start each row with knit stitch. You will always end with knit stitch. It keeps repeating until your desired length. Then bind off.

Happy Stitching
