Another Meditation Scribble Drawing

Yogi Tea Quote

If you do anything out of sheer compassion, you will never be wrong.

Yogi tea

I started this month with an exercise plan and would later incorporate time for my art making.

Well some things have changed. But I have started back on my exercises and made an intention to draw a few minutes each night.

String of Pearls Drawing

Meditation with Drawing

It’s been difficult the last few days. I have been drained and just couldn’t keep up with what I needed to do.

So I decided to do a small drawing for meditation.

Supplies

  • Color pencils
  • Marking pen
  • Paper
  • Ruler
  • Cutter or scissors

I started with a scribble, then colored the shapes in with colored pencils. Afterwards I added details in the shapes and around the shapes with a black pen.

Part 2 oil painting Iris

I started this painting over a week ago. I had some time before work to paint another layer. It became darker than I wanted it to. But I kinda like the bold colors.

My Small Improvement

What’s one small improvement you can make in your life?

This is a good question. I have a few improvements that come to mind. First save more money. Second to improve my eating habits, such as more fruit, more smoothies and less carbs. Third do more art after work.

The one I want to focus on right now is improving my eating habits. I was diagnosed with lymphedema and lipedema along with having rheumatoid arthritis. I have gained so much weight that it’s so hard on my body mainly my legs.

What I have been doing

I have been walking more daily, and incorporating fruits with my dinner. Been doing lymphatic exercises daily along with my cycle

What I need to do more

I need to be on a better schedule with my morning exercise and plan out my breakfast and dinners better. And to do more exercising in the evening.

I want to incorporate the 75 soft challenge but I’m not a reader, so in place it will be my art work. I am really going to focus on the 45 min exercise in the morning and evening and drink more water. Then I’ll add in more time with art making. I want to work on it in phases.

The other part of this is to read a book I got about lipedema (yes, I’m not a reader, but I need to read this). In the book it has some information about what foods to eat. I need to come up with a better system on meal planning.

A Little Update

I have been taking my time with this blanket. I am using a single crochet stitch in three colors. I chose these colors because they will blend in with my decor in my bedroom.

I haven’t been writing much on this blog because I have been busy balancing work and exercising and just trying to take care of myself.

I’ve been diagnosed with lymphedema and lipedema and heaven trying to incorporate more exercises for my lymphatic system. So my exercise usually takes 30 minutes to 40 minutes in the morning as well in the evening. So I have not had much time to be creative in my art journal. But I have been able to finish an oil painting that I posted on my YouTube channel. But it did take me longer to paint it than I expected.

I have every intention to blog more often but I lose track of time with work and exercising and other things I need to do. But that’s a little update on what’s going on in my life and an update on my artwork and my stitching.

Rue Paris cross stitch

Update on my cross stitching.

I finally was able to stitch the Eiffel Tower. I had problems with getting it to look straight. Either I miscounted the colors when I was stitching or the pattern had a mistake in it. Either way I was able to fix it by putting a top stitch over it and it has improved greatly.

Lately I have been stitching and crocheting and finishing up an oil painting.

I have also started a new YouTube channel called Caroline’s creative corner it’s part of the 4pawsartstudio. It’s videos of watching me paints with music. I don’t talk about my painting in the videos unless I include subtitles. Check it out and subscribe and like to my channel it will help me continue the motivation to make videos.

Oil Painting Peonies

I have had this painting sitting on my easel for well over a month unfinished. Today I took time to work on its and finalize the painting.

I use water soluble oil paints which I absolutely love because they are non-toxic and are safe around my pets.

Although I’m not entirely thrilled about this painting I do feel it has a sense of calmness to it. I feel like if I continue working on it I will only make it unsuccessful and I won’t be happy with it. I think I will let this one dry and I will hang it on the wall so I could take a look at it and see if I want to add more details
